Cheerleading Tryouts: What to do when you did not make the squad

Go to your room and let those emotions out! Allow yourself five minutes to cry, yell and scream. After your five minutes is up don't allow yourself to continue to think about it. The last thing you want to do is turn this into a pity party.

Send out Congratulatory texts to friends and family members who made the cheerleading squad. Be prepared for your peers to say "sorry you didn't make it" in response you say their were many talented girls and I'm happy for everyone that made it. Then change the subject!

Prepare for Cheerleading Tryouts for the following year, it's never to early! Enroll in a cheer class, watch YouTube videos about cheerleading. Patrice makes progress!

Make an appointment with the cheer coach and ask to see your score sheet. This is a good way to find out what you need work on.

Record yourself doing jumps, stunts and tumbling. Great way to see for yourself what you need to work on.

Turn your lemons into lemonade! Don't be bitter because you did make the cheerleading squad. Bitterness and resentment will get you nowhere. Hard work and dedication will help you achieve your goals.
